Recently I heard God speak very clearly to my spirit concerning our work in Kenya through our missions organization, Kainos Global. I hear the voice of the Lord in many ways and quite frequently through His Word, but usually His words to me are personal and in the context of my personal walk with Him. This word was different. It was a clear and unmistakable mandate for what Kainos Global is to do in this next season.
He dropped a mandate into my spirit that, truthfully, is a bit staggering to think about. I honestly do not see how me and my team could possibly accomplish this new task given our current resources and agility. I love our team, but I cannot see, naturally speaking, how we could pull this off in our own strength.
The good news is, God is with us. I have seen Him do the impossible too many times now to bother being stressed, afraid, or worried anymore. I’ve done all that, and it is a big waste of time and adds gray hair to my life (OK, I am getting a few gray hairs here and there and I think it makes me look wise, but I am not asking for a full head yet).
