In my opinion, one of the most prominent reasons why the Body of Christ is not releasing the power and authority we ought to on the earth is because we are not functioning as a healthy body as we ought to. When you get down to it, I believe we aren’t functioning as a Body because the individual parts of the Body are not healthy.
An Olympic athlete knows that if you have a torn ligament or the wrong bone out of joint, even if ever so small, your ability to perform is seriously impeded. In the same way, each of us, as members of the Body of Christ, when we are not walking in obedience to Jesus’ callings on our lives, contribute to the dysfunction of the Body as a whole. In today’s podcast, my goal is to expose one way in which we “sell ourselves short,” specifically, that hearing from God, walking in communion with Him, and fulfilling our purpose in life often requires stepping out and taking risk!
The Apostle Paul didn’t always wait to hear from God before he stepped out and made moves during his ministry. There are times when he stepped out in his best judgment and heard God along the way. We need to learn from the Word of God about how to step out and take a risk!
I want to encourage you, friend, that God has planted something great in your heart! But if you aren’t stepping out in faith because you have a fear of failure, you are missing what God has for you in this season. Connect with Him. See what He says about the matter; whether it is time to step out in faith and take a risk, or if this is a season to wait on Him. If we will be honest, most of us have done enough waiting, and it is likely that the “radio silence” you experience from hearing God’s voice is due to the fact that He has already spoken to you about something, but you haven’t stepped out in faith yet because of a fear of taking risk.
That’s a good preview of the podcast. I pray it stirs you up to take your walk with God to the next level! Enjoy!
